12:00 noon – 2 pm: The Joseph Logsdon Memorial Luncheon and Awards
An annual highlight of the conference that recognizes unheralded contributions to New Orleans music. This year’s award winners are Mrs. Albertha Edwards, vocal teacher in the New Orleans public schools for over 42 years; Uganda Roberts, legendary percussionist; Lynn Abbott, author, musician and music historian; and the Pecora, Pecoraro and Mannino families, contributors to New Orleans music for several generations.

Note: There is a convenient pay parking lot across the street from the front of the Mint (also accessible from Elysian Fields), and once inside the Mint, there is an elevator to the 3rd floor.
